Triumph defy global downturn

In a market that declined 14% Triumph Motorcycles have finished the year 1% up in 2009. Of the top 6 road manufacturers in Australia, Triumph was the only brand to see positive growth in 2009.

“This is a great result given the tough economic conditions faced in 2009, we have great bikes, accessories and clothing, priced well and backed by a professional dealer network”, said Triumphs marketing manager Mal Jarrett.

Triumph racing into 2010

Triumph Australia, in conjunction with Peter Stevens Motorcycles, will be fielding an entry in the 2010 Australian Supersport Championship under the AARK Racing banner.

Promising Victorian Christian Casella will be the team’s sole rider aboard a Triumph Daytona 675. AARK Racing, managed by Andy Offer, will also receive support from Triumph Australia’s Technical Manager Cliff Stovall and Peter Stevens’ well-known engineer, Andrew Hallam.

Triumph Bonneville celebrates 50 years with four world speed records

Renowned British motorcycle journalist Alan Cathcart marked the 50th anniversary of the iconic Triumph Bonneville by setting four officially-recognised FIM world land speed records at the 2009 edition of the event that gives the bike its name: the Bonneville speed trials.

The original Bonneville, introduced in 1959, was named after the record breaking streamlined Triumph that set numerous records at the Utah venue during the 1950s.

Triumph Daytona 675SE released

As if the Daytona 675 is not already a fantastic machine, Triumph is now set to introduce a special edition of its award-winning supersport model,the Daytona 675SE.

Triumph Rocket III owner clocks up 275,000kms!

An Australian Triumph Rocket III owner has clocked up an incredible 275,000km – that’s the equivalent to six times around the world and more than half way to the moon!

He has travelled around Australia and through the centre several times on his Rocket, and describes himself as a quiet sort of guy who loves the country, but not cities or crowds. His wish is to complete 300,000km on his Rocket III.
