Ducati’s award-winning 1198 S Superbike enters the 2010 model year with a bold new trio of colour schemes to distinguish its bodywork, frame and wheels.

The new year’s 1198 S retains its successful formula of the 1198cc Testastretta Evoluzione L-twin engine, developing 125kW and a class-busting 131.4Nm torque, and standard-equipment electronics that include eight-mode DTC traction control and DDA data analysis.

Also familiar, and exclusive to the S, is the race-quality Öhlins 43mm front forks and Öhlins rear coil-over damper.

The 2010 model year palette is designed to showcase the 1198 S’s Superbike racing heritage. Its bodywork for this year is available in Pearl White, Red or high-gloss Midnight Black.

The 2010 S model is also immediately identifiable by its red-painted frame and black wheels with red rim stripe.
