2010 Kawasaki 1400GTR ABS

Kawasaki have announced the latest incarnation of their large capacity sports tourer, the 2010 1400GTR ABS. After winning many awards from around the world in 2009, the 2010 model has been updated to build on the continent-crossing performance of its predecessor.

Headlining the updated feature list is KTRC, (Kawasaki’s first traction control system). The system is said to give riders piece of mind and allow them to negotiate slippery surfaces with confidence.

Also new for 2010 are heated handgrips as standard on the 1400GTR ABS. The grips have stepless adjustment with the switch located close to the rider for easy access.

Aero dynamics have also been tweaked for 2010 to improve rider comfort. The electrically adjustable windscreen is now 70mm taller and the side and centre cowlings have been redesigned. Using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis the cowlings were optimised to allow high rate of heat dissipation. The sides are also wider, reducing the amount of hot air hitting the rider.

    Going faster may help.

You’ll probably love it in Winter.

And yes, Mr. Plod won’t like that excuse much in the same way the same Mr. Plod didn’t like it when I said “It’s a motorcycle, if you go slow you’ll fall over”
