Two new colour schemes for Honda’s VFR800
Honda has released the long standing VFR800 in two new colour schemes, Candy Glory Red and Sword Silver Metallic, both of which now feature gold wheels mounted on to one of the most refined sport touring packages available today.
The VFR is powered by a screaming fuel-injected engine with a unique VTEC system that effectively combines the strong low-end torque of 2-valve engines with the top end revving power of high-performance 4-valve mills.
With a lightweight, rigid twin-spar aluminium frame, single-sided Pro-Arm swingarm and HMAS cartridge type front fork, the VFR’s sporty and responsive handling makes long distance riding an absolute pleasure.
Rear suspension is smoothly compliant, with a single-sided cast aluminium Pro-Arm swingarm mounted directly to the rear of the engine cases, and supported by a progressive Pro-Link rear suspension system.
The Dual Combined Brake System enhances braking ease and control for smooth, unruffled stopping performance.
The VFR is built for touring, made easy by the low, contoured seat with easy reach to the ground and long-term comfort for rider and passenger.
With a 22-litre tank capacity, optional luggage system and powerful multi-reflector headlights the VFR continues to hit the mark after an amazing 23 years of continuous production.
The 2009 Honda VFR800 is priced from $15,990 (RRP) and is available now.

A beautiful motorcycle. It seems like the perfect balance of comfort and performance. It’s a shame it doesn’t come with ABS in Australia. It will be on my short list for my second bike for sure.

I have a ‘96 VFR which I’d upgrade to the new model tomorrow if Australia got the ABS version.
Crazy decision by Honda Australia.

ARRRGGHHHHH!
Only one obstacle between me and this bike.

Agree with the ABS requirement. Honda – please?
At least make it an option. People will pay!
